Do I Have To Change My Life To Stop Sweating?
Imagine the man of your dreams asks you to marry you and you are forced to wear a gown with long, loose sleeves, something that does not cling to you – all to prevent him from seeing you sweat.
Imagine the woman of your dreams is right in front of you, but there you are in your dress shirt with big, damp sweat stains under your arms.
These are just two of the many nightmares that people who sweat too much have on a daily basis. To stop sweating, they change their lives, their lifestyles, even the options they have throughout their lives. They may not go on an interview because they fear sweating in front of the interviewer. They may not go out on a date because to stop sweating they need to wear a big, baggy sweatshirt....
Sweating is an embarrassing topic for most people, and one that is virtually never spoken of. Even the television commercials that advertise antiperspirants are subtle about it. You don’t see a lot of famous people lining up to be the spokesperson for an antiperspirant!
If you find that you are searching for ways to stop sweating, the first stop may be your doctor’s office. Surely, you have already tried every over-the-counter antiperspirant there is, so maybe you need something stronger. Doctors can prescribe stronger antiperspirants that, although they may burn your skin, can reduce sweating considerably.
If your doctor is unable to find a suitable medication for you, they may suggest Botox injections. These injections which are commonly used in cosmetic surgery, were first designed to be used in patients who sweat too much. Once injected, the affected area may actually refuse to sweat, but this is not a long-lasting treatment. It will have to be repeated on a regular basis.
